We’re not interested in Keshi-players face-off - NFF

The Nigeria Footbal Federation (NFF) says the current face-off between the coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, and some of his players on account of neglect or other perceived differences are all the business of the coach, since all the Glass House demands is result.

According to the General Secretary of the NFF, Barrister Musa Amadu, the current development in the Eagles’ camp is normal with teams all over.

“What Keshi is going through with his players is a development that crops up in the national team set-up that throws up the scenario of a father and his children. We only want to believe the national team will come out stronger from all these,” Amadu said.

Musa noted that what the football house will not welcome is when the whole development begins to affect the country’s target which is doing well in all its international engagements.

“Perhaps that is when we will begin to ask questions, but for now it is our belief that swords will be sheathed for the sake of the task ahead World Cup qualifiers, international friendlies and the Confederations Cup that comes up in Brazil later in the year.”

It will be recalled that Keshi and his team captain Joseph Yobo are embroiled in a misunderstanding following the player’s exclusion from the last World Cup qualifier against Kenya. Also, AFCON’s top scorer Emmanuel Emenike had accused Keshi of neglect after posting star performance at the last Nations Cup.http://xclusivetalk.blogspot.com
