Is this the world’s most dangerous market?

THESE Thai shoppers do most of their shopping online — the Maeklong railway line.


Trains whizz through the narrow alleys of the Railway Market up to eight times a day.

A siren is sounded before the train arrives to warn vendors to pull their awnings down and their boxes off the rails.

in this video the stall owners seem completely unfazed as the locomotive steadily chugs by — inches from the fruit, 

veg and seafood they are selling.

They wait patiently until the train passes and then start to pull their stall umbrellas back down.

The open-air market is 37 miles outside Thai capital Bangkok and is known locally as Talad Rom Hoop.

Its nickname translates from Thai to mean “closing umbrella market”.
Railway ... the market sprawls over onto the tracks
It sells everything from everyday produce from pirate DVDs to fried frog on a stick.

Vendors have been selling their goods at the market for generations and the nearby rail station was built in 1905.
