Representatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa state said on Saturday two persons were arrested on the Dutse-Huguma road for allegedly stealing fuel.
The suspects (names withheld) were apprehended by the NSCDC officers who were patrolling the area. Inside their Golf car, 30 jerry cans were discovered, each containing 25 litres of diesel.
The suspects allegedly stole the diesel from the yards of Dantata and Sawoe, as well as Setraco construction companies.
The case is being investigated, and if their guilt is proven, the suspects will face the court.
