Boko Haram Seeks Help From Foreign Islamists To Create An Islamic State In Nigeria
The
Special Forces deployed to flush out terrorists from Adamawa, Borno and
Yobe states following declaration of state of emergency in the three
states are obviously getting to the dreaded Islamist sect, Boko Haram,
as its leader, Abubakar Shekau, in a video published, Tuesday, called on
Islamists in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq to join the fight to create
an Islamic state in Nigeria.
“We
call on our brethren in these countries I mentioned. Oh! Our brethren,
come to us,” he said in the video, which alternates between Arabic and
Hausa language.
Earlier this month, Afghan President, Hamid Karzai had advised Boko Haram insurgents to sheathe their swords.
Karzai,
during the presentation of letters of credence to him by Nigeria’s
Ambassador to Afghanistan, Dauda Danladi, called on the Boko Haram
members to lay down their arms if they are true Muslims and embrace
amnesty offered by the Federal Government noting that no religion
preaches violence.
“Boko
Haram should stop burning schools, Mosques, Churches in the name of
Islam. You should not destroy your country if you are true Muslims. You
should protect lives because in Islam if you kill one, it is as if you
have killed the whole of humanity and if you save life, it is as if you
have saved the whole of humanity”.
Abubakar
Shekau who stated that his group has scored several victories against
the Nigerian military in Borno State during the ongoing offensive,
admitted, however, that his group sustained little damage.
According
to him, “Since we started this ongoing war which they call state of
emergency, in some instances soldiers who faced us turned and ran.
Nigerian forces threw down their arms in flight” .

Here Are 10 Things NOT TO DO On Facebook
Now that you’re in a happy, healthy relationship, there are some Facebook rules that need following to ensure it stays that way.
10 things to never do on Facebook if you are in a relationship:
1. Hide things from your spouse or significant other.
If
you don’t want your partner seeing who you’re chatting with online,
that’s not a good sign. Facebook should not be a secretive escape from
your relationship.
2. Befriend someone of the opposite s*x your partner is uncomfortable with.
If
your partner is uncomfortable with you “liking” photos of your ex — or
chatting with your super-flirty co-worker online — respect his/her
wishes. Don’t engage in behavior that will feed insecurities or threaten
your partner. If you’re not currently Facebook friends with an ex,
don’t add him. Especially in a long-term commitment relationship, you
should each trust and respect each other enough to let each other veto
online friendships with members of the opposite s*x you’re not
comfortable with.
3. Keep up old photos of exes.
Even
if you never go back and look at old photos, some of your friends
might. Respect your new relationship and delete old online mementos of
your past relationships.
4. Change your relationship status without talking to your partner.
Relationship
statuses should be discussed prior to any online changes. (Don’t abuse
the status, either. Wait until it’s serious enough that most of your
friends already know you’re dating someone awesome.)
5. Deny the relationship.
If
your Facebook page has zero evidence that you’re in a relationship — no
pictures, statuses, links that hint that you’re attached — and your
partner wants to be acknowledged, show him/her that you’re proud to be
with him/her, and simultaneously let your flirtatious Facebook friends
know that certain online behaviors are now officially off-limits, by
giving an occasional nod to your significant other.
6. Add his/her friends or family as “friends” before you’ve met them.
This is just creepy.
7. Complain about your partner or make a fight public.
If
you’re in a real relationship, have real conversations. Seek conflict
resolution in person, not online — and especially not on a Facebook
wall. Don’t use Facebook as a place to vent, be passive-aggressive, or
to humiliate your partner. Ever.
8. Gush too much.
You’re
in love. That’s great. But use terms of endearment and “I have the best
boyfriend in the world!” statuses in moderation. Don’t alienate your
loved ones — or incite major eye-rolling — by using Facebook strictly as
an excuse to brag about your recent endorphin surge.
9. Post racy pics.
Don’t
upload on-vacation bikini shots. Don’t share photos of your new man
“just waking up.” Keep it classy. Respect your partner by not seeking
attention from others with sexy poses and provocative statuses.
10. Have a shared Facebook profile.
Even
if you’re married, the whole “2 become 1″ thing does not apply to
Facebook. An old classmate might want to say hi without wondering which
of you he’s talking to.

Six Condoms Tips,They Won’t Tell You!
Is condom education needed for Baby Boomers? Yes, s*x ed. to protect and heighten the experience!
Arousing
statistics when it comes to the Baby Boomer generation and dating! With
newfound freedom, the creation of the little blue pill and Barry White
on CD, the retirement plan became a bit steamier.
Free
from the stress of a job, kids out of the home, and
new health developments, the Baby Boomer generation has romance on the
mind. The amount of dating sites geared to the over 55, proves this new
generation is entering the dating world in force. As this scene
continues to grow tremendously, so does the amount of sexually
transmitted infections.
Getting
a second chance at romance when wiser and more mature may be cause for
re-education on the birds and the bees. A group in Miami solution to
this need, a claymation video, “s*x and the Seniors,” to help prevent
the spread of STDs. Unfortunately, it focused on the fear of STDs rather
than the benefits of condoms. When giving s*x education talks to
people 55 and above, I like to focus on how to make safe s*x work for
them romantically. The importance of safe s*x is obvious, but still
seems not to be motivating. The Baby Boomers are open, free, loving life
and ‘getting frisky.’ However, missing out on the dating scene during
HIV/AIDS left a gap in s*x education. Yes, sexually transmitted
infections have always existed, but were not a huge concern, since
multiple partners and pre-marital s*x were less common. ‘Locker room’
style boasts can be heard throughout retirement centers more than chats
about what condoms people prefer. Hell, amazing s*x peeks our interest
more than great condoms. However, the rise in STDs with the 55 year old
and above population more than doubled over the last decade,
exemplifying a condom chat is what’s needed!
When
not use to wearing condoms, the thought can be less than stimulating.
Remember, condoms not only prevent STDs, they can help heighten the
pleasure if utilized correctly. To become familiar with the world of
condoms, let’s review the basics. First, to help protect against STDs
the condoms need to be latex, polyisoprene, or Microsheer (medical
polyurethane). Lambs skin allows infectious diseases to pass through
the condom. Also, find a condom the fits comfortably, they come in
various sizes and different brands have a slight variance in shape to
accommodate larger or smaller heads, thicker or thinner shafts, etc.
Best of all, several condoms have a barely there sensation.
1.
Thin is the next best thing to nothing: Trojan Thintesity or BareSkin
are super thin. Durex Extra Sensitive Ribbed combines ultra thin latex
with a ribbed texture for the pleasure of your partner.
2.
LifeStyles Skyn mastered thin and long lasting lubricant, an extra plus
for when you no longer produce as much natural lubricant. LifeStyles
Skyns are polyisoprene, which is ultra thin plus transfer body heat
making them feel more natural than latex. Also, latex can be irritating,
especially to mature skin
3.
Getting it on and getting the condom on… When in the heat of the
moment, opening a condom may seem like you are fumbling with an
impenetrable package. The most efficient maneuver is to tear the wrapper
in half. You will not rip the condom.
4.
After opening, find the rolled edge and un-roll it a wee bit adding a
little extra lubricant on the inside. This trick prevents the condom
from sticking to your skin causing discomfort.
5.
Since blood flow may be an issue, it is best not to lie on your back
when putting on the condom. Kneeling on the bed or standing helps blood
flow to where it is needed most.
6.
Last, but not least, make sure to buy a box of non-lubricated latex
free condoms for oral s*x. Oral Herpes can spread via oral s*x and no
one likes the taste of latex or lubricant!

The Top 10 Things That Men Want From Women -- The Brutal Truth
1 SÉX
Admit it -- you saw this one coming. Yes, we want séx. Often. In fact, just about any time and any place. But there's more to it than just séx. We also like other signs of your affection, so hold hands with us or give us a spontanéous hug.
2 HONEST REACTIONS
Don't fake it with us. We can tell when you do.
3 COMPLIMENTS
Men want to be complimented just as much as women do. When we look good, tell us.
4 LAUGHTER
Make us laugh! A sense of humor is a wonderful thing, and a woman with a good one is extremely appealing.
5 ACCEPTANCE
We
want you to accept us as we are, not think of us as someone you can
renovate. Yes, we have faults -- but look past them. We want you to
accept us for the men wealready are and are working to become.
6 HONESTY
There's
no real basis for a relationship without honesty, and it starts when we
first meet. If you're truly interested, don't start out playing
hard-to-get.
7 SPACE
Don't
crowd us. Men like time and space with their friends, and even time
alone. Women who require men to spend every minute with them need to get
a life of their own.
8 COMMUNICATION
Go
ahead and express yourself. Your man may not always agree with you, but
it probably makes him proud that you can stand up for yourself. Strong
women are séxy!
9 BELIEF
If you love your man, believe in his dreams as much as he believes in yours.
10 TRUST
If
you can't trust each other, the relationship is doomed. Take his word
for it and don't constantly check up on him or try to trick him. Trust
is respect, and both parties in a relationship deserve to be respected.

Some Nigerian Musicians Are Taxi Drivers Abroad - Victor Essiet
Victor
Essiet of Mandators’ fame is a very famous musician in Los Angeles,
California where lots of Hollywood actors and actresses are resident.
He
spoke on sundry issues relating to his career, most trying moment in
life, latest music effort and how he perceives Marijuana, otherwise
called ‘Ganja or Weed’ in local parlance.
How true is it that some Nigerian musicians are into Cab-driving here in United States?
Musically, it is very tough in America if an artist is not up to the task. Such moment that person would have no option.
When last did you see Majek Fashek?
It is been a long time. I spoke to him few weeks before I left for Nigeria for my media tour. Majek complained to me that he is sheltered in a house that there is no light and things are not okay for him. He said the people are using his name to go around government establishments to collect money, but not doing anything for him. As such, I was looking forward to seen him to further help him. When Majek was in California here, he was quite different and when he returned to Nigeria his life took a different turn.
Initially he was into drugs; some of his friends here helped him. But we needed to ensure his health was stable, not waiting, he traveled to Nigeria. I used to talk to Majek from America through his handlers’ phone number. When I got to Nigeria, they prevented me from seeing Majek because the line was cut off.
We heard that Majek was taken to Psychiatric Hospital and Spiritual Homes for health recovery in Nigeria. What is your view?
Well, I do not have any information on that. Like I said the only contact I used to have on Majek was through his handlers, but the line had been tossed off by them (the handlers).
How about the lowest moments in your life?
That was when Nigerians soldiers killed my family. It was during the Biafra period while I was 5 years old at that time; Nigerian soldiers entered my father’s compound and killed every members of my family. They killed some of my Uncles. One of my Uncles was killed and thrown into the well. So, they destroyed my life.
That is why when you listen to all my songs, I preach against oppression. Lots of people suffered in that war and many generations were wasted. Somebody had to tell someone else that you cannot just treat people like that because we the South-South region then had all the resources.
That war was because the people of the South-South, the Eastern part of the country never benefited from the resources the country had, whereas some other regions are presently benefiting from the resources. The East did not get anything from the resources, but dominated by other people. Somebody had to get up and put an end to it.
That is why the country is in this present circumstance. These soldiers massacred everybody in my compound. They killed my sister, an undergraduate who begged them to spare her life.
What was your experience like when you first entered United States?
I am a Lion who can survive anywhere I am. The higher I go, the better I survive. My entire reggae adventure in America is similar to Bob Marley. An American man who popularized reggae music in the United States, worked closely with Marley and ensured reggae music enjoyed massive air play on radio, television and newspapers’ review saw me as a young, creative reggae artist and strongly believe that I have got a talent that can impact on humanity. He looked for me and got me a record deal in Massachusetts in America.
That was my evolution into mainstream reggae world in United States. While the process was on for me to be signed on, it was initially difficult for me to start driving around in my DVD and begging to perform; all that became history after I came on the record label.
How about your reggae friendship with Ras Kimono in America?
There was a time I had a music show in New York and Ras Kimono came to witness it. It was a successful show. Kimono and I have a lasting friendship. The show was jam-packed. I was performing 7 days a week by then.
Most reggae musicians are Rastafarians. Some of them take drugs to get inspiration and be ‘high.’ Do you take drugs or smoke Marijuana (Indian hemp) to ‘get high’ on stage?
Most interpretations given to these drugs are masked. When you wear a mask you cannot see. Until you take off that mask you cannot see. No matter what you do, if you do not control your intake of Coco (that is, Cocaine); cigarette and Marijuana that would be bad.
They are herbs created by Jah to give man inspiration as he takes his dominion over situations of life. Man should have dominion over it and not the other way round. ‘Weed’, that is Marijuana is just like food that people eat to feel better. Ganja (Marijuana) is a healing of the mind. You saw what Marley was doing during his lifetime because he had it under control.
There is nothing wrong in smoking ‘Weed,’ but something is wrong when people abuse it. Cocaine is a hard drug that is bad. The ‘Weed’ takes you higher to a level of consciousness. I am naturally too high to take something that would make me higher to destroy my systems.
Are you saying you don’t take Marijuana?
I don’t smoke weed, but I will like to smoke it because it is good. Weed is better than beer, better than brandy, better than Cocaine; better than junk.
How did you feel the first time you tasted ‘weed’?
I don’t know. I say I don’t smoke ‘Weed.’ There are lots of successful people like Jimmy Cliff, Burney Spear and all great celebrities that smoke Ganja. None of them messed round. Check their music success. That tells you there must be something that takes them to that level of greatness. There is nothing wrong with it when you use it to attain success in your career; but something is wrong with it when you use it to do bad things.
So, how do you get inspiration?
You get inspiration alone by the highest Jah. Remember in the old days, how the prophets get revelation through visions. Till today, many of us still get inspiration from God the creator of mankind. We have the DNA or gene of our father in us.
What message do you have for your fans worldwide?
My message is that we should all wake up from our slumber because so much is happening, nothing is done. Martin Luther King says “Freedom is not gotten by people that are oppressing you, but it is demanded by people that are oppressed.” Emancipation of people is important and the governments are not willing to change their systems. If we want total victory, we should stand up and join the ‘Freedom Train’ to emancipate ourselves.

Igbo People Are Killing Nollywood With Tribalism ––Actress Halima Abubakar
One
actress who really struggled for several years in Nollywood before she
eventually got her big break is Halima Abubakar. She saw the challenges,
faced them and eventually conquered.
But she said it no longer easy for up and coming actresses who are gifted but are not being allowed to prove themselves in the industry due to the high level tribalism of the Igbos who control the industry and are now making themselves lord over others. See her complains below...
“I
have experienced tribalism, I know people would say it is a lie, but
that is the truth. Why have those from a particular group not reached
out to people who are not specifically from their areas?
“I have worked with a lot of Igbos, my marketer is Igbo, I have worked with a lot of them and I know those I have not worked with, I have not seen the right roles for me yet, but I believe they will come.
"But how about others, who are independently shooting movies, does that mean those are the only set of actors in Nollywood? I am not saying they should give me roles, but there are people who want to see fresh faces. We need to give others opportunity to showcase their talents.
“I am saying, stop tribalism and bring everyone under the umbrella of AGN,” Halima insisted.

5 Reasons Why Ladies Prefer Dating Married Men
Although these stereotypes are popular, the truth is that the other woman may have a variety of agendas fueling her behavior.
Depending
on her age, social class and marital status, she might be cárousing
with another woman's man for several reasons other than love. Below are
the top five.
#1 The séx is hot.
Just
like a lot of men, many women crave séx. As a result, when some women
meet a man that they have an undeniable séxual attraction to, they rush
forward and pouncé. Although it's not always admitted to, this is one
reason why some women just can't let a married man go. They love the séx
and, as a result, refuse to end the relationship.
#2 She doesn't think it's hurting anyone.
Have
you ever heard the saying 'what you don't know won't hurt you?' This is
a statement that some females who play the role of the other woman live
by. They feel that as long as nobody knows (especially the wife) what
they're doing, it's okay. As a result, this woman will never stop seeing
the married man until things blow up.
#3 She loves the money.
Some
women barter séx for money. This exchange is as old as the bible. As a
result, if a man has a lot of cash that he's willing to spend on her,
the other woman will go for it without any regret. It's not that she
want's to hurt anyone or even be the other woman, she just needs help
paying her bills.
#4 She believes all men are dogs.
You'd
think that a woman who thinks so lowly of all men wouldn't wind up in a
dirty affair. However, this idea is wrong. Because she thinks all men
are dogs, she expects very little from them - including faithfulness. So
it seems natural to her that a married man would cheat since that's
what all men do anyway. If you ask her about the wife, nine times out of
ten she'll tell you about the number of times she's been cheated on by a
man. It's her justification for her actions.
#5 She needs to feel powerful.
This
point is where I believe Monica Lewinsky falls. Sléeping with the
President of the United States probably lifted her self-esteem and made
her feel powerful. It's a trap women fall into who like to sleep with
high-profile men. They get their energy and life from an accomplished
man instead of finding other ways to build themselves up. In conclusion,
the other woman might just be holding onto a married man for reasons
outside of love. She has her own agenda and unless it's upset in some
type of way, she will never let go.

Female Student Rapéd By Boys After Touching Her With Ring
“There
is a boy who was not my boy friend. He was a student in that school
about two years ago. His name is Biola. He had wanted to date me several
times which I politely turned down. Just last Wednesday, when I closed
from school, Biola came to me in company of two unidentified boys and
said his mum wanted to see me. I asked him what led to the invitation by
his mum.
"I then told him I would not go. Then, one of the two other guys who had a ring on his hand hit me on the chest and I was unconscious. They took me to the residence of one of the boys and rapéd me...
“Before ráping me, they gave me alcoholic drink and after the crime had been committed, they gave me ‘covenant water’ threatening me that I would die if I told anybody of the act,” the girl revealed.
As
you read this, two young men have been remanded in Agodi Prison by an
Ibadan Magistrate Court for using a magical ring to abduct and gang-rapé a 19-year-old student in Ibadan.
The two suspects, according to a police officer, were charged with conspiracy, rapé and stealing of a Blackberry phone belonging to the victim.
A police officer, who confirmed the story, said: “On May 15 at 0815 hours, one Adekola living on Akanbi Street, Molade area of Ibadan reported that his younger sister and a secondary school student went to school and did not return home. All efforts to trace her proved abortive.
“Then about 23:00hours, an unánimous caller called through the victim’s GSM number and identified himself as kidnapper and demanded N6,000. The DCO led other policemen and the victim was rescued.”
"She was unconscious and was rushed to a nearby hospital. She later narrated how she was kidnapped and gang-rapéd by three persons. Two arrests have been made while the third suspect is still at large. The two suspects have been charged to court.”

It’s Rih-naldo! Cristiano Takes A Shine To Pop Star Rihanna
Cristiano Ronaldo can’t hide his glee – or his shiny face – as he grabs a photo op with pop titan Rihanna.
The
Real Madrid winger posted a backstage snap of himself posing with the
singer on Facebook after watching her perform in concert.
The
footie ace – who was at her gig in his native Portugal last night – did
his best to look streetwise as he beamed for the camera, nailing a
deuces hand gesture.
Rihanna played it cooler, pulling a combative facial expression and crossing her arms.
Ronaldo donned a tight white T-shirt and Mr T-style gold chain for his night out in Lisbon.
However,
most notable was the sight of his gleaming mug – suggesting he’d gone
overboard applying skin products before heading out.
His barnet appeared equally greasy, with every hair precisely waxed into place.
Rihanna posted an explosive pic of her latest Diamonds World Tour show on Instagram.
The deceptive image appears to show the chart-topper going up in flames.
But
worried fans need not fear – the snap is just the result of camera
trickery combined with a pyrotechnics display going off behind her.

of all, X-Factor is the best talent-hunt show in West Africa and I am
glad to be part of it. Secondly, you don’t say ‘No’ to Glo. (laughs)
When Glo asks you to do something, you can’t say ‘No’. It is not that I
can’t say ‘No’ or that I am afraid to say ‘No’, but because they always
make an offer that you are happy about. You are happy to be part of the
family. which is what X-Factor is all about. It is a great platform for
me to be on. Lastly, I am glad to be here helping a new generation of
talents, which is what X-Factor is all about.
What exactly are you looking for in a contestant?
That
X-Factor; nobody knows it. That is why it is called X. You remember in
Mathematics, they tell you to find ‘X’. You don’t know what X is until
you find X. So, we are solving ‘Mathematics’ here; we are looking for X.
When we find it, we will know what it is. For some people, it is their
stage presence, their voice, carriage, the way they carry themselves,
the way they present themselves. Whatever it is, we are look for the
X-Factor. The competition is generally into music, singing and rapping.
So far in the auditioning, we have a large number who have made it
through. They have done a good job.
What are the measures that have been put in place to ensure that the process will not be rigged?
At
the end of the day, the fans choose. If they choose a contestant
because the person can smile or because the person can sing, so be it.
Our powers as judges cease somewhere. After that, it is up to the fans.
Until then, we will do our best to make sure we select only the best
contestants to stand so that when it gets to that stage everybody has a
fair chance to stand. The truth about it is that when you get to the
finals and you have a big family and you come from a state where they
love TV and they love music, you will have a good chance.
What have you been up to lately?
I
have a new song called “Chairman”. We have been working on it for some
time now; it will be released in June, after the X-Factor (contest).
And, I still have many more things to come.
What were your early musical influences?
I
grew up in the church. My dad is pastor. My mum can sing and that
background helped me to love music. While I was growing up, I listened
to lots of gospel songs from Panam Percy Paul, amongst others. All these
people inspired me to be what I could be. Funny enough, you were there –
at one of my first shows. That was my first performance in Lagos. It
was quite a big step for me.
So from a gospel music background, you moved to secular music?
To
me, it is all the same. How you live your life is different from what
you do at your leisure. So, I am a musician. Sometimes, I will sing
about God. At other times, I will sing about even my girl friend. If you
listen to my music, you will notice that there is a wall. I don’t sing
about everything. I sing about things that affect my life so, even if I
sing a love song, it is from a positive point of view. I am a musician
and a musician is different from a worship leader. A worship leader can
go on to make commercial music; that is what we call gospel music.
Do you write your songs?
Yes,
I write my songs but I get a lot of help. For instance, Ice Prince
wrote “Africa Rapper Number One”. He came up with that chorus. Then,
Flavour came and added his part. I always like to work with people. It
helps to bring the best in you.
How has it been over the years?
I
will say God is good but at the same time, when I say God is good, I
know I have to work hard. It is a lot of dedication and hard work. Each
time I reflect back, I realize that when that pistol went off, there
were many people that I left behind. It is not because I am too good. It
is just luck; God’s favour and so I am very grateful for all my
blessings.
What message do you have for young people out there?
In
this country today, the same way that people are working hard and
moving forward, it is the same way that people are working hard and
moving backward, doing a lot of bad things. My word to every young
person is to please work hard and focus on the positive in the end. It
will pay off. I have not reached the end of my life but I can tell you
that it pays to work hard. It might not come as quickly as you want it
to be. So, you have to be patient, work hard and definitely it will
come.

Founding Fathers Should Save PDP From Collapse – Atiku Abubakar
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on the founding
fathers of the Peoples Democratic Party to come together to save the
party from crises capable of leading to avoidable implosion.
In a statement by his Media Office in Abuja on Monday, Atiku said he was particularly disturbed by the worsening polarisation of the party and internal divisions which might weaken the party structures at the state and deepen the crisis between the governors and the President.
The former Vice President explained that as one of the founding fathers of the party, he had a duty to call on other founding members to rise to the occasion and caution the “forces that are bent on tearing the party apart and providing the ammunition for self destruction.”
He lamented the failure of the National Executive Council to meet in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution and the inability of the “Board of Trustees to rise to the occasion of arresting this ugly development.”
According to him, the bitter internal divisions within the PDP, has led to crisis in the party leadership in some states, division in the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the suspension of a sitting Governor over disagreements on principle that could have been avoided if the founders of the party had added their voices of caution and moderation.
With the challenges of providing good governance and the bid for re-election in 2015, Atiku noted that the PDP could not afford the current acrimony as it was undermining democratic structures at all levels.
Meanwhile, following controversies trailing the NGF chairmanship election, Majority Leader in the Edo State House of Assembly, Phillip Shaibu, has urged the Presidency to focus on tackling the myriads of problem threatening the nation’s developmental, instead of meddle in who heads the forum.
Despite the presidency distancing itself from the crisis rocking the NGF, Shaibu in an interaction view with journalists, in Benin on Monday, urged Jonah Jang of Plateau State, to “be magnanimous in defeat” and accept the outcome of the election.
“Nigerian has grown beyond do or die politics,” he said.
Describing the fallout of the NGF election as distraction, the lawmaker said, “What should bother the powers that be is how to address the challenges in the power sector and job creation through industrialisation.”

Beauty queen turned rapper Munachi Abii is romantically involved with Pop group, L.O.S band member Olade Brisbe better known as Briss.
The couple, we are told, have been in a hot romance for the past few
months and they’ve managed to keep it under the wraps with only very
close friends in the know.
We are also told Muna has confided in her close friends, telling them she’s in love with the 18-year-old rapper. Briss, an upcoming rapper started gaining buzz when the Urban-Pop music group L.O.S (the group consists of three other members – Yung, Tomi and Bridge) signed with Storm Records and released their popular single 'Bad guy P'.
Briss who is currently an undergraduate in a Dubai university spends time shuttling Lagos and the U.A.E but his schooling hasn’t stopped the ‘lovers’ from hooking up – sources tell us Briss, (who is from quite a wealthy family) has on several occasions flown Muna over just to be with her.
Briss last April posted a photo of himself and Muna cooling off in a Dubai beach. ‘At the beach.. Ofcourse Muna being a mess lol #dubai’, Briss wrote as he posted the photo on his Instagram. Muna in turn has been quite supportive of Briss and his group’s music. If she’s not tweeting about their new songs, she’s chatting up with the other band members.
Some dated tweets between Muna and Briss also suggest there’s something holding on between them:
@muna01: ‘@BrisB_LOS duuuude wen r u back?
@BrisB_LOS: very very soon muna! booked a flight already tho. How you now?
@muna01: @BrisB_LOS: chillin boo.
@BrisB_LOS: hope your good sha.
But speaking with NET over the telephone Muna denies being romantically involved with Briss. ‘That sounds ridiculous, I’m in a relationship with someone else’, Muna told NET.
Muna turns 26 this November. In 2007, she won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty pageant.
Before the MBGN crown, she had however shown interest in music, rapping under the name Babyrella. She recorded a rap duet with Terry tha Rapman whom it is rumoured she dated at that time.
In 2010, she changed her name to Muna and signed a management deal with Ayo Shonaiya’s RMG Company, launching her music career.
She has gone on to feature with the likes of Waje, Kel, Michael Word, Banky W, DJ Jimmy JATT and Psquare.
And Briss is not the first Nigerian artiste Muna has been rumoured to be involved with. We are told she has also allegedly been involved with several other acts including D’banj, M.I, Wizkid and Peter Okoye. Of course the sister continues to – vehemently – deny these unconfirmed reports.

Hundreds Protest Planned Shutdown of Lagos Market
Hundreds
of businessmen at the Pelewura Market, Adeniji-Adele area of Lagos
Island, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, Monday stormed the Lagos State House
of Assembly to protest the alleged plans by the State Government to
close down the market to pave way for the cable car project being
proposed by the government.
The
protesters, who sell building materials, said they came on behalf of
other traders in the market who now face a bleak future following the
planned demolition of the market.
Armed
with placards with various inscriptions pleading with the government to
rescind its decision, the protesters reminded the government that many
of them have dependents and should not be thrown into the labour market.
Legal
adviser to the traders, Mr. Azeez Olagoke, alleged that the government
had given the traders a seven-day ultimatum to quit the market.
“It
came to us as a surprise that we shall be removed from our market place
to create space for cable car station being proposed by a private
company.
“Removing
us from our market without providing alternative market place for us
within Lagos Island is like giving death sentence to our members.
“Our
members are self-employed. How do we survive if we are removed without
being provided with alternative market place?” he asked.
Many
of the traders who spoke with P.M.NEWS explained that the planned
closure of the market had caused serious confusion among the traders.
In
a petition made available to the House of Assembly and signed by Chief
Joseph Olawuyi, Chairman, and Bamidele Adeyemi, Secretary of the
association, the traders said: “we are appealing to the House to save
our market and our lives.
“We all have our children, families and other dependents; how do we take care of them and ourselves without our market?”
Chairman of the House of Assembly Committee on Transport, Commerce and Industry, Bisi Yusuf, urged the traders go back in peace, promising that the House would look into their complaint.
