Unknown Gunmen Kill 11 People in Southern Kaduna

A group of unknown gunmen raided Zangang township in Attakar Chiefdom of Kaura local government area in the troubled Southern Kaduna state. The attackers suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have killed 11 persons in the early hours of September 28, 2013, Saturday.

An undisclosed military officer in the area confirmed the attacks, he added that some villagers were also injured, and several are still missing. The official statement on the raid is still awaited.

This morning’s accident continues the rising wave of violence in Kaduna. It would be recalled that in attack on Thursday, banks and residents were robbed and three policemen killed in Saminaka, Lere local government area of Kaduna State.
