The 2face Peace Awards event took place on World Peace Day; Saturday September 21 2013 at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
Three winners between the ages of 18 to 35 received 1million naira each to use in furthering the various peace causes they have been involved in.
The winners were: Kyenpiya Jessica Makan-Nyabam of the CLAPAI (Child Love And Protection Advocacy Initiative) Orphanage, Jos, the Christian Muslim Peace Movement based in Bauchi and Jos and Zainab Sandah, who is involved in mobilizing and assisting the conflict prone Rigassa community in Kaduna.
Speaking at the event, Tuface commended the winners for their effort at promoting peace and supporting the poor in the country.
"As award winners, you are now peace ambassadors. People will be more interested in what you do. You have to continue to maintain the high standards you have set,” he said.
