ARMED cops wearing black balaclavas dramatically seized a Woolwich slaughter suspect yesterday after knocking him off his bicycle.
The officers burst out of an unmarked van, sending the cyclist sprawling, before surrounding him.The 22-year-old was being held last night on suspicion of conspiracy to murder Drummer Lee Rigby.
Stunned witnesses said police “came from nowhere” for the swoop in Islington, North London.
Documentary film-maker Dan Murdoch, who was having a pub lunch with his family, said: “We heard what sounded like a crash and lots of screaming, ‘Get down, get down’.

ANTI-TERROR cops have arrested another man in connection with the murder of soldier Lee RigbyHalf a dozen officers wearing bullet-proof vests, balaclavas and carrying guns leapt out and knocked a cyclist off his bike.
“The police made him put his hands behind his back and were screaming, ‘Don’t move, don’t move’. Plain-clothes officers then turned up and the whole area was surrounded by police. It was like something out of a film.”
The cyclist was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and led away with his head down and arms behind his back. He is thought to be a close associate of Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22. The man is the ninth person to be held over Drummer Rigby’s murder.
Police in balaclavas and carrying assault rifles swooped on a house on Saturday night. Neighbours were told to stay inside as cops searched the property in Thamesmead, South London.
Neighbour Anton Taylor, 35, said: “I kept hearing bang, bang, bang and then yelling of ‘armed police’. They were everywhere. It was really worrying.”
It is thought the raid was on the home of a man who had been Tasered and arrested in Charlton the same evening. The 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
