EXCLUSIVE: The Real Reason Behind Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's Romantic Reunion

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez caused quite a stir after being spotted riding Segways inside his gated Calabasas, Calif., community on Jan. 2, marking the first time the duo have hung out since last summer.
Sparking even more interest, Justin posted a cozy Instagram shot of himself and Selena with the caption, “Love the way you look at me,” on Jan. 4.
The reunion has hit a nerve with those closest to fragile Selena, who canceled her 2014 Stars Dance tour and reportedly has lupus.
However, a Justin insider promises the pop star’s intentions are good.
“Justin reached out to Selena after she canceled the tour,” the Bieber insider discloses to Life & Style.
“He wanted to make sure she was OK and healthy. He cares about her a lot. I don’t know if they’ll get back together, but he wanted to see her and spend time with her.”

Still, sources say that Selena's circle was not pleased by the public reconciliation.
“Her friends were blowing up her phone with, ‘WTF, Selena?’” a source exclusively tells Life & Style. “Everyone who loves Selena hates Justin. Just hanging out with him is a major setback for her.”
Their meeting comes two weeks after the 19-year-old "As Long As You Love Me" singer admitted he still had feelings for his former girlfriend.
“[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people," he told radio station Power 106 in LA in December.
