Armed robbers attacked the Zenith Bank branch at Agbara Industrial
Estate, Ogun State, at about 8:30 am, killing two policemen, one
civilian and carting away millions of naira.

The robbers numbering about forty, some dressed as women, invaded the
usually peaceful estate, shooting sporadically into the air to scare
people who came to transact business in the banks that lines a section
of the estate.
An eyewitness said that the robbers came with explosives, which they used in breaking the strong room.
The robbers also tried to break into the nearby Guaranty Trust Bank but couldn’t gain access into the bank.

Several people were injured during the robbery including a pregnant
woman who was also shot in the leg. The woman has been taken to the
hospital for treatment.
The robbers got away through a nearby water way in speed boats. Men
of the Nigerian Police Force and the Navy were seen searching the area
with helicopters and speed boats.
