President Muhammadu Buhari has visited Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Yola, Adamawa state capital on November 13, Friday.
He said: “My government is doing everything possible to rebuild your homes, schools hospitals and roads to enable you go back to your homes.”
“Boko Haram will soon be a thing of the past.”
“We remain committed to ending Boko Haram, ensuring your safety and welfare, particularly your children and their education.
The president gave assurance that his administration would not only recapture their areas but also assist in rebuilding destroyed structures especially schools and hospitals.
Buhari praised Adamawa government, NEMA and other organisations for their operative handling of the IDPs and assured them of constant federal government’s support.
Answering on behalf of the Boko Haram survivors, Nicholas Samuel thanked Buhari for showing concern for their plight and making them to feel at home.
He also expressed their happiness and hopes to return home very soon.
